ALSACE WINES
Crossing the region from north to south, the Alsatian vineyards have a chain stretch of vineyards from Strasbourg to Mulhouse. Defined more by their varieties than by their terroirs, Alsatian wines are exceptions. Prioritized into three levels, the still and sparkling wines are mostly made of Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Muscat. Nowadays, Alsace has 51 appellations classified Grand Cru.
