Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is open, greedy, with notes of blueberry, milk chocolate and candied violet, frank and typical.

Supple, fleshy attack, with a lovely character of floral and greedy notes.

Fleshy, fairly balanced finish, marked by black fruit coulis, with a little persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • The generic Côtes du Rhône appellation spans over 40,000 hectares, stretching 220 km along the Rhône, from Avignon to Vienne.

     

     

    The terroir of LES PIERRES features a varied soil with sandstone and sand alluvium, pebbles, and red soils resulting from the decomposition of limestone.

     

     

    LES PIERRES is primarily crafted from the blend of two iconic grape varieties of the Rhône Valley: GRENACHE, SYRAH, and CARIGNAN.
