Open, straightforward nose of white flowers, with fresh iodine notes and a hint of menthol.

 

Well-balanced, with a very straightforward wine of medium body and fine finesse.

 

Lovely character with iodised, almost salty notes, pearlescent, good sapid, taut length.

    CHÂTEAU DE L'HYVERNIERE : The 15th-century castle was entirely destroyed by a fire during the French Revolution and was subsequently rebuilt. It was purchased in 1922 by Auguste Sautejeau, who transformed it into a large vineyard estate.

     

    In 2007, it was incorporated into the Family of Châteaux and Domaines Castel.

     

    Terroir: This estate of 58 hectares, located in the communes of La Chapelle Heulin and Le Pallet, about thirty kilometers from Nantes, rests on sandy clay soils, sandstone, schist, and mica schist.
