Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DELAS FRERES

For over 180 years, the “Vigneron Heart” of Delas Frères has expressed itself with rigor and passion on the northern appellations of the Rhone Valley.

The wines from Domaine and parcel selections that result from this illustrate the House’s policy, focused on terroir quality.

Since 1996, Delas Frères has undertaken a major investment program: new winery, renovation of the aging cellar, acquisition of vineyards.

The recent acquisition of a property in the heart of Tain l’Hermitage allows Delas Frères to equip itself with a true haven for vinification and aging of its most prestigious wines.

This new site, a privileged place for welcoming visitors, contributes to the House’s prestige.

Hedonists and Wine Lovers will experience a unique blend of tradition and modernity, nature and architecture, culture and serenity.
