Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The wine is clear, limpid and brilliant, with a golden colour.

The nose is frank, floral and greedy, revealing notes of apricot and bergamot.

On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, with good tension and an enveloping texture.

The finish is straightforward, greedy and distinctive, with a lovely citrus character.

Good persistence, with a racy impression.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • DELAS FRERES

For over 180 years, the “heart of the winemaker” at Delas Frères has expressed itself with demanding standards and passion in the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley.

The wines from Domaine and parcel selections illustrate the House’s policy, focused on terroir quality.

Since 1996, Delas Frères has undertaken a significant investment program: a new winery, renovation of the aging cellar, and vineyard acquisition.

The recent acquisition of a property in the heart of Tain l’Hermitage allows Delas Frères to have a true showcase for the vinification and aging of its most prestigious wines.

This new site, a privileged place for visitor reception, contributes to the House’s reputation.

Hedonists and Wine Enthusiasts will experience a unique encounter between tradition and modernity, nature and architecture, culture and serenity.
