Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is open, frank and floral, with notes of lime and hawthorn and a hint of iodine.

The attack is acidic and crisp, offering tension and finesse. Medium body with a character marked by candied citrus fruit and a toasty note.

Sappy, chiselled finish, with fine minerality and a lingering liveliness, with a hint of exotic fruit syrup.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The château was once the residence of Philippe Le Hardi, Duke of Burgundy (1342-1404), who was the first ‘ambassador’ for Burgundy and its fine wines.

In 1395, he had an edict published banning the Gamay grape variety.
