Powerful bouquet

Dark garnet colour with brick tints. Open nose with a bouquet of candied pepper, green pepper, undergrowth and nutmeg, with a hint of clove and cold tobacco. Fleshy attack, with fairly present tannins. Leather and tobacco character, medium body, straightforward, fairly balanced. Velvety, clean finish, medium persistence on leather and pepper, fairly typical.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Domain and appellation

    Most of the plots are planted on a superficial limestone plateau with a thin layer of clay (between 20 and 50 cm above the limestone slab) and deep limestone clays. 10ha of vines planted on Garonne gravel with a sandy-clay matrix on the edge of the estuary.
