The vineyard of Château La Mission Haut-Brion is part of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, located in the northern part of the Graves wine region in Bordeaux. The estate faces Château Haut-Brion and shares the same gravel terrace, known as Haut-Brion.
The property was established and developed in the 16th and 17th centuries by the influential Lestonnac family.Its reputation grew in the late 17th century when it was taken over by the Lazarist Fathers, priests of the Mission, from whom it takes its name.
The property joined Domaine Clarence Dillon in 1983.
