Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Garnet-red with purple highlights. Minty, spicy nose with hints of wood and vanilla. Opens with aromas of roasted black fruit. Notes of herbs. Supple, fleshy attack, full-bodied, well-balanced. Clean, lingering finish with blackcurrant fruit coulis character. Good persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU MONT REDON
Our vineyards extend to other appellations in the southern Rhône Valley, which we cultivate with the same exacting standards and respect for the rhythms of nature. The grapes are harvested when perfectly ripe, after validation by berry tasting. The grapes are harvested by hand and sorted in the vineyard. The grapes are selected on an optical sorting table. After complete destemming, cold maceration for 2-3 days. Vatting for 15 to 18 days, with punching down to ensure controlled extraction of tannins and colouring matter. After malolactic fermentation, only the best batches are selected. A third of the blend is matured in 228-litre Burgundy barrels, with the remainder kept in vats for 12 months. Bottling takes place around 18 months after the harvest. The wines rest for at least another 4 months in our cellars before being shipped.
