Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
Dark brick colour with a few black highlights. The nose opens up with candied fruit, grilled pepper, roasted wood and hints of cocoa. Good balance on a fleshy, full-bodied, straightforward wine with a small envelope. Soft, mellow tannins, good, long finish.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU DE TIREGAND
Château de Tiregand is located on one of the finest south-facing slopes in the Pécharmant region. The PIAT family recently took over the estate and began converting to organic farming in September 2022. Terroir: The 43-hectare vineyard lies on a soil composed of sand, gravel and a ferruginous gravel subsoil. Viticulture: The estate encourages grape ripeness by pruning short, controlling yields in each plot (disbudding and green harvesting), and thinning out the leaves on each side of the row. Vinification: Fermentation lasts 10 days in temperature-controlled vats, followed by a period of maceration on the skins for around 10 to 15 days. The wine is then matured for almost 15 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new.
