Powerful bouquet

Black colour with a brick sheen. Clean nose with a bouquet of spices and notes of roasted black fruit. Supple attack with roundness and balance. Frank length with a spicy, roasted character. Notes of tobacco, tension and finesse.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Domain and appellation

Château Cantemerle

The vineyard of Cantemerle (5th GCC) is located on the fine and deep gravel of the communes of Macau and Ludon in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The soil is siliceous-gravelly and results from the ancient erosion of the Pyrenees by the Garonne. The soil is made up of sand and pebbles, which are very filtering and play an active role in the ripening of the grapes as they reflect the sun's rays and retain the heat accumulated during the day at night.
