Fruity and well-rounded
Open nose with notes of bigarreau cherry, cherry blossom and peony.
Straightforward attack, fairly light and acidic, with supple tannins.
Peony and pomegranate character, medium body.
Fairly fleshy finish with red plum and cherry stem, with a little persistence, a hint of finesse and a light touch of black pepper.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Chateau de la Terrière
Château de la Terrière has stood since the 16th century in Cercié, at the heart of the Beaujolais region. It is one of the oldest estates in the area.
The vines, covering a total area of 12 hectares, are on average 50 years old. They stretch seamlessly across the "La Terrière" plot, facing south, mid-slope, on a pink granite hill.
The goal of Yoan Pitoiset, the winemaker, is to give the wine the time to fully develop its expression and to reflect the complexity of the terroir.
Here, we produce a fruity, supple wine with a mineral finish.
