Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

BERTICOT

In the heart of the South-West, Berticot offers wines that reflect its terroir. Today, the cooperative cellar represents 1000 hectares of vineyards in AOP Côtes de Duras and IGP Atlantique, including 150 hectares of organic. But Berticot has always been primarily a story of People: it was founded in 1965 in Duras by winemakers who wanted to come together for mutual support.

It was in 2008, under the initiative of three winemakers, that the organic journey began at the Berticot cellar. This responsible approach has been passed on over the years to other member winemakers and is now embedded in a comprehensive environmental dynamic.
