Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Château Ferrande
This historic manor house, renovated in the 19th century and then purchased by the Castel family in 1992, features state-of-the-art facilities.
Terroir: The estate covers 94 hectares and sits on a gravel soil, rich in sand, with a grape variety composition of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sémillon, and Sauvignon.
Viticulture: The planting density is high, averaging 9000 vines per hectare, ensuring that the grapes are always concentrated in sugar.
Vinification: The winery is equipped with a high-tech press that allows for gentle juice extraction. The technique used varies depending on the grape variety. The Merlots undergo vinification that enhances their fruity character, while the method adopted for the Cabernet Sauvignons refines their structure.
Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature, ranging from 28 to 30°C. The wines are aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, of which 30% are new.
