Our oenologists' opinion
Powerful bouquet
Dark garnet colour with bright red highlights. Open nose with varietal notes of pepper and raspberry, typical of Cabernet Sauvignon. Supple attack, fairly firm tannins, tension, minerality. Pepper and cranberry character. The finish is fairly firm, full-bodied, taut, with a hint of finesse and medium persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

CHÂTEAU BEL AIR
Situated in the heart of the Lussac Saint-Emilion appellation, Château Bel-Air radiates from its single vineyard. Terroir: This 21-hectare estate lies on a clay plateau with gravel and a subsoil composed of iron and clay. Viticulture: The vines are on average 35 years old, with 50% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are harvested when they have reached ideal ripeness. Vinification: Vatting lasts several weeks in temperature-controlled vats, followed by traditional ageing in oak barrels. The wines are bottled on average 18 months after the harvest.
