Powerful bouquet

Mahogany dress with shiny tiled reflections. Pretty nose of orange zest, kirsch, smoky, spicy notes of juniper and then dark chocolate. Nice balance, full-bodied, full-bodied, fat, character on dried fruits, hints of mocha and blond caramel. Nice straightforward, taut and elegant length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

    Founded in 1692, the Taylor's house is one of the oldest houses and the last of a family factory making port wine.

    • Terroir: Located on schist hillsides, vineyards rest on a granitic subsoil. The culture is carried out on terraces clinging to steep cliffs that flow into the Douro Valley.
    • Viticulture: La Maison Taylor's sources its wines with Varguellas Quintas, Terra Feita and do Junco.
    • Wine-making: The Taylor's 10 Ans is assembled from a seelection of the best wine (from one and the same year), matured in aged oak barrels for close to 20 months before continuing its maturation in bottles.
