Fruity and crisp

Straw yellow colour with some green reflections. Frank and open nose of walnut kernels, bitter almonds, hint of praline. Good balance on a frank, straightforward and signed wine, lacking a little nervousness and tension but a typical wine. Small sapid length.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

Made from the Palomino grape variety, it is fortified with brandy and matured under a veil of yeast (the Flor) which protects it from oxidation and allows it to retain all its freshness.

    The Williams & Humbert bodega was founded in 1877 in Jerez de la Frontera thanks to Alexander Williams and Arthur Humbert. Although it is one of the major producers of sherry, it has also made a name for itself in the world of rum with the creation of Dos Maderas in 2002. Dos Maderas, which means "Two Woods", benefits from the bodega's 140 years of aging experience. Dos Maderas rums indeed owe their personality to their double maturation: the first in ex-bourbon casks in their country of origin, Barbados and Guyana, and the second in Spain, in casks that previously contained sherry, casks that are highly sought-after for ageing whiskies.
