This Citadelle gin has won more than 60 medals. It was honored “Spirits of the year” at the World Spirits Award in 2017. It was also awarded as “Best Gin au Monde” and “Gin Grand Master” in London.

At the Château de Bonbonnet, juniper berries are carefully cultivated.

To craft this gin, these berries are combined with 18 other spices: coriander, cardamom, angelica, cumin, nutmeg, almonds, grains of paradise, liquorice, cubeb pepper, savory, cinnamon, star anise, blackcurrant, orris root, violet, fennel, and finally, orange and lemon zest.

Each of these 19 spices is infused for a specific duration in a neutral spirit made from French wheat. This artisanal process is protected by a patent—the only patent ever granted for gin production.
