Our oenologists' opinion

A brilliant yellow colour with hints of old gold.

The nose is distinguished by a seductive bouquet of citrus zest, white flowers and white chocolate, with a touch of quince paste and hints of vanilla.

On the palate, the balance is harmonious and full-bodied, with a slight sweetness that adds roundness.

Fresh, sweet spices and a smoky, peppery note can be detected.

The finish is fresh and taut.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Togouchi whiskies are all aged in a unique location: a 361-metre-long tunnel dug in 1970. It provides ideal maturing conditions, allowing the aromas to be slowly extracted from the casks, which explains the elegance of the Togouchi range.

CHUGOKU JOZO

Chugoku Jozo is a Japanese brewery located near Hiroshima. The Togouchi range is expanding with the launch of the Togouchi 9 and 15 years.

Production: A unique blend of Scottish whiskies aged in Japan.
