Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

Bright lemon yellow colour, quite deep. Nice open nose, fresh with star anise, bitter orange, notes of cinchona, pink pepper. Well-balanced, frank and straightforward. Nice fresh and greedy character, thirst-quenching. Nice straight and taut length. More finesse and complexity.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

Pastis, from the Provençal Occitan word "pastisson" which means pâté or mixture, is the name given to alcoholic drinks flavoured with aniseed and liquorice.

Domain and appellation

  • Distilleries et Domaines de Provence

Created in 1990, the brand "Pastis Henri Bardouin" produces a pastis Grand Cru, made only with natural plants. Its secret: the deep balance of more than 65 plants and spices. 4 rare and precious ingredients are added to the 65 plants of the classic recipe to compose Pastis Henri Bardouin Prestige: Vetiver - Forcalquier saffron - Centifolia rose - Sichuan pepper. A tribute to singularity, this innovation continues to shake up the codes of pastis by offering a new aromatic journey.
