Our oenologists' opinion

Well-rounded

Its deep straw colour gives it a lovely bouquet with hints of brioche.

On the palate, this wine is well-balanced, with finesse and roundness.

It is full-bodied and long, with melting bubbles.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • Vranken

Founded in 1976 by Paul-François Vranken, the Vranken-Pommery Monopole group manages diferent brands such as Demoiselle, Vranken, Pommery, Heidsieck & Co and Charles Lafitte.

    • Terroir: The Vranken-Pommery Monopole group owns, in Champagne, 250 hectares of vines, planted in villages classified as Grands Cru, based on calcareous soils.

    • Viticulture: The field practices viticulture. The harvest is manual to select the best bunches and keep them intact.

    • Vinification: The name "Tête de Cuvée" originated through a winemaking specificity. It corresponds to a rigorous selection of some of the juice obtained at the time of pressing: nearly 60% of all juices flowing from the first greenhouse of the press. It is then vinified separately, variety by variety, and this continues throughout its maturation and assembly.
