Our oenologists' opinion
Well-rounded
Its straw colour reveals a lovely bouquet, combining aromas of hazelnut and biscuit.
On the palate, this wine of character stands out for its fine balance and depth.
It is full-bodied and ample, enriched by mineral notes.
The finish is taut and vibrant, with a long aftertaste and melt-in-the-mouth bubbles.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation
-
Bollinger
Founded in 1829, the prestigious Bollinger House was born from the association of 3 men: Athanase Louis Emmanuel Hennequin - Count de Villermont, Jacques Joseph Bollinger, and Paul Renaudin. The designation "Special Cuvée" from Bollinger has existed since 1911.
- Terroir: Located in Aÿ, the convergence point of the 3 regions of the Champagne terroir (Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, and Côte des Blancs), this 160-hectare estate rests on clay-limestone soils, gravel, and chalk.
- Viticulture: The vineyard covers 2/3 of its grape needs. Concerned about the environment, Bollinger was the first house to obtain the new certification "Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne" in 2014.
- Vinification: The "Special Cuvée" is lightly dosed and aged in the cellar for a minimum of 3 years. This aging, much longer than the regulations of the appellation require, allows for a perfect blossoming of the aromas.
