Powerful bouquet

Open nose with notes of pomelo, grenadine and redcurrant, and a hint of cranberry. Full-bodied, well-balanced attack. Fleshy, full-bodied finish with notes of redcurrants and fresh spices, medium persistence.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE LA CABANETTE

    Domaine La Cabanette is owned by the Chantal and Jean Philippe Bertoncino family, and Chantal is vice-president of the Cave. She was the first winegrower to go organic in 2008. The vineyard extends over the 3 terroirs of the Appellation (Lauzes, sand and pebbles). The estate is very keen to encourage biodiversity and regularly carries out reforestation work in its vineyards. Most of the vines are planted in gobelets, requiring manual harvesting in some cases.
