Fruity and crisp

Pale colour with silvery-green highlights. Straightforward nose of blackcurrant buds, with a hint of fresh menthol and hints of raspberry. Good balance on a fairly light, frank, dry and lively wine, with a little finesse. Lovely character that extends the notes on the nose, with mineral notes. Taut, sapid finish.

    Located on the hillside of Saint-Cyr-en-Bourg, the Cave de Saumur now presents itself under the identity of its two founders, Robert and Marcel. This cooperative winery with its avant-garde image is one of the few in France to have a common set of specifications requiring 100% of its winegrowers to use environmentally-friendly viticultural practices.
