Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Dark garnet colour. Fruity nose of cherries, blackcurrant syrup, hints of spices and juniper. Well-balanced, vinous, fleshy, straightforward. Fruity character, a hint of lilac and liquorice, ripe, fairly round tannins. The finish is still young but will mellow quickly.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Do you know ?
In the 18th century, the Charlet family were already owners and wine merchants in Saint-Amour and Juliénas, on the border of Burgundy and Beaujolais.
Domain and appellation

La Victorine
Situated in the Saône-et-Loire region, Saint-Amour is a commune of heterogeneous soils producing wines with many facets. With its evocative name, the two restaurants in Le Bourg are Michelin-starred. SOIL: Granite, bluestone and ancient alluvium.
VINIFICATION & REFINEMENT: Traditional Beaujolais vinification, with a small proportion of the grapes destemmed. Maceration lasts around 15 days and the wine is matured in vats. Our commitment to and humility in the face of nature mean that we have to adapt to the harvest each year and not lock ourselves into a predefined pattern. Since we can't sum up in just 2 lines a whole process that has been adjusted day by day, we prefer to tell you more about this cuvée via the terroir and the grape variety. -
