Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Deep pink with orange highlights. Open, greedy nose with notes of raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and grenadine. Fleshy, greedy attack, sweetness, fullness, redcurrant character. Good balance. Fleshy, greedy finish, hint of sweet spice and arlequi candy.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

MAISON CASTEL
Although its cultivation is particularly advanced in northern vineyards, Pinot Noir also thrives well in the Pays d’Oc. Under the Mediterranean climate, this early-ripening grape variety easily reaches maturity, producing refined rosés.
Benefiting from the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Pays d’Oc, the Pinot Noir rosé Grande Réserve from Maison Castel is the result of selecting the best parcels from various terroirs.
- On one side, the Villafranchian terraces of the hinterland of the Hérault, a late-ripening terroir where the freshness allows for more precise grape maturity, resulting in more balanced wines.
- On the other side, the dried-up pond of Marseillette, a vineyard in the Aude with clay soils over a layer of salts, reminiscent of the Provençal terroir.
