Powerful bouquet

The nose is fine and straightforward, dominated by fruity aromas of stewed black fruit and sweet spices such as grey pepper, cinnamon and cloves.

It offers a gourmet touch, with a hint of reduction.

On the palate, the attack is supple, with roundness, body and fullness.

The character is marked by sweet spices and a gratin of black fruit.

The balance is elegant and refined, supported by very silky, round tannins.

On the palate, the wine is greedy, fresh and sapid, with a lingering, flavoursome finish.

Features

Domain and appellation

FERRATON PÈRE ET FILS

The "Calendes", days of the new moon, symbolise the passing of time. This breath of nature, guided by the lunar cycles, reveals itself to the senses of the winemaker throughout the year.

Derived from sedimentary and granitic plots, "Calendes" reflects the essence of the three major terroirs of the Crozes Hermitage appellation, shaped by the Rhône and the Isère rivers since time immemorial.
