Fruity and well-rounded
Open nose of plum coulis, caramel, blackberry coulis, with a hint of coffee liqueur and a floral touch.
The attack is fleshy, dense and concentrated, with good body and a powerful black fruit character.
Fleshy, full-bodied finish, marked by notes of violets, roasted plums and bitter cocoa, already showing the beginnings of a sophisticated bouquet.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

BARTON & GUESTIER
Vinification: Destemmed grapes, daily pumping over – long maceration in vats for 3 weeks. Aging in French oak barrels for 6 months.
Careful vinification to preserve the fruit and finesse of these great Syrahs.
Viticulture: Low yields, manual maintenance, rigorous selection, and minimal interference in the natural maturation of the grapes. Production is limited to 12,000 bottles per batch.
Each batch number corresponds to a new vintage, the number 300 will be the vintage of B&G's 300th anniversary.
Climate: Mediterranean with high temperatures, exceptional sunshine during the day, and cool nights, ideal for the Syrah grape variety.
