Our oenologists' opinion

Powerful bouquet

The nose is straightforward, marked by roasted and woody notes, opening up to aromas of mocha and grilled spices, with a hint of empyreumatism.

The attack is full-bodied, yet round and balanced.

The finish is equally full-bodied, with a subtle hint of analysis.

The finish is distinguished by notes of liquorice.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DELAS FRERES

For over 180 years, the vintner’s heart of Delas Frères has been expressed with dedication and passion in the northern appellations of the Rhône Valley. Their estate wines and parcel selections reflect the House's commitment to quality terroirs.

Since 1996, Delas Frères has embarked on a major investment program: a new vinification facility, renovation of the ageing cellar, and vineyard acquisitions. The recent purchase of a property in the heart of Tain l'Hermitage provides Delas Frères with a magnificent setting for the vinification and ageing of its most prestigious wines.

This new site, designed for visitor hospitality, enhances the reputation of the House, offering a unique experience between tradition and modernity, nature and architecture, culture and serenity to hedonists and wine enthusiasts alike.
