Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose is frank and floral, dominated by notes of acacia, white peach and citrus fruit, offering a lovely aromatic bouquet.

The attack is supple and well-balanced, followed by a long, clean, greedy finish that develops on notes of white peach and flowers, adding a fine touch of finesse.

A hint of citrus fruit adds freshness, and the finish is sapid, pleasant and well-balanced.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE LA GRANDE PALLIÈRE

The estate is located in the heart of Provence, in the commune of Correns, in the Pays de la Provence verte region of the Var department.

Terroir : At an altitude of 250 metres, the estate covers 200 hectares, including 30 hectares of vines classified as A.O.C. Côtes de Provence.

These parcels benefit from the advantages of the terroir: an exceptional microclimate, optimum sunshine thanks to the hillside location, trellised vine training and very healthy clay-limestone soil.

Winegrowing: Since 1998, the vineyards have been certified organic by ECOCERT.

The absence of synthetic weedkillers, fungicides or insecticides, as well as the use of organic soil improvers, form the basis of this ‘organic viticulture’.
