Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE L'AIGLE

    The Domaine de l’Aigle, located near the village of Roquetaillade, close to Limoux at the foot of the Pyrenees, is a 47-hectare estate situated between 250 and 500 metres in altitude, making it one of the highest vineyards in the Haute Vallée de l’Aude and the whole of Languedoc.

     

    The Pinot Noir vines thrive in climatic conditions similar to their original Burgundy: oceanic with semi-continental tendencies, featuring regular rainfall and significant thermal amplitude. The grapes come from sustainable farming, in line with the Terra Vitis approach, which ensures traceability of farming practices verified by an independent organisation.

     

    It has a ruby red colour with slight copper reflections. The nose is dominated by aromas of small berries such as raspberry and currant, very intense with hints of toasted notes. The palate is tender, fruity, and finely spiced. Tannins are fine and silky, with an exceptional structure. The finish is long and fruity.
