Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The frank, floral nose opens with notes of citrus and dill, giving a fresh, delicate first impression.

The supple, fresh attack reveals a harmonious balance, marked by aromas of red berries and fresh pomelo.

The lingering finish is frank and delicious, elegantly prolonging this fruity sensation.

The pleasant aftertaste leaves a fruity, refreshing mark.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • DOMAINE DE LA GRANDE PALLIÈRE

The estate is located in the heart of Provence, in the commune of Correns, situated in the Pays de la Provence Verte in the Var department.

Terroir: Located at an altitude of 250m, the estate covers 200 hectares, including 30 hectares of vineyards classified as A.O.C. Côtes de Provence.

These vineyard plots benefit from the advantages of the vineyard: an exceptional microclimate, an advantageous sunlight due to its hillside location, a trellised cultivation method, and a very healthy clay-limestone soil.

Viticulture: Since 1998, the wine production has been committed to organic farming, certified by the organisation ECOCERT.

The absence of herbicides, fungicides, or synthetic insecticides, as well as the use of organic amendments, form the foundation of this "organic viticulture".
