Fruity and well-rounded

Lemon colour with a green tint. Frank nose, on the wood, which must melt, opens on aromas of white flowers of citrus fruits, candied, vanilla. Supple attack, full and fat. Frank length on candied citrus fruits, balance. Character on the peach, the white flowers. Good persistence on fresh almonds, tension.

Features

    The Cigalus estate enjoys a warm, sunny, semi-arid Mediterranean climate with temperate spring variations, enabling all the grape varieties to ripen well. The estate is farmed biodynamically. The aridity of this climate, with its low rainfall, is offset by the deep soils (sediments deposited by the Aussou, the stream that borders the estate), which store up winter rainfall for longer, but whose fertility is limited by the presence in the subsoil of slightly chalky sandstone dating from the Campanian (secondary era, before the emergence of the Pyrenees).
