Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

The nose, closed and slightly reduced at first, gradually opens up to a discreet amylic note, before revealing accents of pink grapefruit, tangy sweets and a hint of ripe peach/apricot.

The attack is supple, carried by a well-dosed sweetness.

The character moves towards candied citrus fruits, combining pink grapefruit, cranberry and grenadine, with a fresh citric note and a warm finish.

The finish is tangy and crisp, with a strong freshness and a lingering finish that beckons the next sip.

A wine of pleasure, spontaneous, with fruity and mischievous accents, perfect for relaxed moments.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU PARADIS

Château Paradis, located in Le Puy-Sainte-Réparade, has a wine-growing heritage stretching back thousands of years to antiquity.

The Phoceans introduced vines here around 600 BC, followed by the Romans, who founded Villa Regina, an agricultural estate with a grape press.

In 1980, Jacques Héon, a great lover of white wine, officially founded Château Paradis and planted grape varieties such as Sauvignon blanc and Grenache blanc.

In 2003, Philippe and Juliette Deschamps took over the estate, restored the bastide and built a cellar, becoming owner-growers.

Since 2011, the estate has been run by the Thieblin family, who are deeply attached to their Provencal roots.

In 2012, they acquired a further 50 hectares, reinforcing Château Paradis' identity, vineyard area and quest for excellence.
