Powerful bouquet

Bright straw yellow colour with green highlights. Open nose of passion fruit, citrus zest, then mineral notes of shellfish, buttery notes, vanilla. Good balance on a frank and straightforward wine, quite full-bodied despite a warm touch. Well signed character. Good, straightforward length.

Located in the commune of Castres-sur-Gironde, Château Ferrande stands at the end of a majestic cedar-lined avenue, surrounded by beautifully maintained varied gardens.

Captivated by the exceptional quality of its terroir—hailed as one of the finest in the appellation—the Castel family acquired the estate in 1992.

Ferrande's true gem lies in its remarkable soil, composed of Güntzian gravel pebbles, which lend the wine its power and elegance. With a high planting density (9,600 vines/ha), the Château ensures maximum concentration and outstanding grape quality.

A proud member of the Union des Grands Crus, Château Ferrande is easily recognised by its distinctive yellow label, a symbol of its reputation and excellence.
