Our oenologists' opinion
Fruity and well-rounded
Golden colour. Clean floral nose, acacia, honey. Opens with aromas of vanilla, yellow fruit and mineral notes. Supple attack thanks to the roundness of the envelope. Lively and nervous. White flower character, corner notes. Good balance. Good persistence.

Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Do you know ?
The wines are vinified in a former 12th-century church. Unique in France!

Château d'Epiré
Situated in the hills above Epiré, Château d'Epiré has been passed down from father to son since 1882. It is the oldest family estate in the Savennières appellation. The dozen-hectare vineyard is located on the highest slopes of the Savennières appellation, in the village of Epiré. The vines are grown in ideal conditions: overlooking the Loire, the vineyard takes full advantage of its south-easterly exposure on schistous soil. The wines are matured on their lees in small stainless steel vats. The winery is ideally situated in a charming 12th-century Roman church, which was converted into a cellar in 1906. This church is an ideal place for wine, where the temperature and humidity are naturally controlled at all times of the year thanks to the thick walls.
