Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Château Bellerive is located in the heart of the Quarts-de-Chaume appellation, on the left bank of the Loire River
Terroir: Cultivated only with Chenin Blanc, the rows of Chenin are protected from the north winds, and cling to the south on the schistose slopes that descend steeply to the Layon. During the autumn nights they are bathed in the humidity of the river. These conditions are ideal for botrytis (noble rot) to develop on the grapes.
Viticulture: The grapes are harvested by hand, a selection is made by successive selections.
Vinification: The vinification of Château Bellerive is traditional with a slow fermentation conducted at low temperature in barrels.
