Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and well-rounded

The nose is open, revealing notes of red fruit and stones.

On the palate, the attack is supple, with equally supple tannins, offering a sensation of fullness.

The wine's character comes through with notes of thyme, cherry and Morello cherry, all with good balance.

The finish is persistent and sapid, marked by spices and a slight touch of full-bodiedness, confirming the quality of this lovely wine.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • Corsica, a mountain in the sea, is caressed by sea breezes. This unique climate allows Corsica to produce wines of great typicity, through blends of Corsican and international grape varieties.

The grapes are sourced from carefully selected properties, located on the best terroirs of the eastern coast of Corsica.

Viticulture: The producers are committed to respecting the terroir and the vine. They are constantly seeking the original expression of each grape variety.

Vinification: Fermentation is carried out in a traditional manner, in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.
