PIAN DELLE VIGNE

The PIAN DELLE VIGNE estate is located 6 km south-west of Montalcino, above the Val d'Orcia, and covers 184 ha, 65 of which are vineyards. The Sangiovese vines, locally known as "Brunello", are planted at an altitude of 130 m and have a south-east exposure. The soil is essentially clay-limestone and rich in small pebbles. The ageing philosophy favours large traditional casks, capable of preserving the extraordinary integrity of the Sangiovese fruit and giving Brunello its vibrant elegance.
