Powerful bouquet

The nose is open with notes of laurel, cherry stones, morello cherry and cherry stems, tangy and straightforward.

 

Supple, crisp attack, with a little envelope, nice stone character, hint of dark chocolate and toast.

 

The finish is sapid, greedy and crisp, with a medium persistence of kirsch and freshness, a hint of minerality and a good signature. Ideal with a platter of cold meats.

Features

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

  • LES VIGNERONS DE MANCEY

    Founded in 1929, Les Vignerons de Mancey, located a few kilometers from Tournus and the Saône, are at the heart of a privileged region. The terroir of the cellar occupies the tip of the Mâconnais hills, an open, gentle area with curves where the vines climb. The vineyards alternate with meadows and woods.

     

    Les Vignerons de Mancey currently bring together the production of 80 winemakers, covering 140 hectares of vines spread across 8 communes around Mancey. We vinify grapes from all the Burgundy varietals - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligoté, and Gamay - which thrive beautifully on the Mâconnais terroirs.

     

    We conduct extensive selection work of the best terroirs: "Because no two stones from their terroir are alike."
