Powerful bouquet

Black colour with brick highlights. Woody, caramel nose. Opens with notes of roasted black fruit and grilled spice. Notes of cocoa. Supple attack, well-balanced. Round tannins, finesse. Cocoa and roasted black fruit character. Notes of candied pepper. Frank length. Good character.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

CHÂTEAU CORBIN

Purchased in 1948 by the Rambeaud family, this former 17th century property offers a range of elegant, fruity AOC Montagne St-Emilion and Saint Georges St-Emilion wines with silky tannins.
Terroir: The 23-hectare vineyard surrounds this former Seigneurie, built in 1606.
Vinification: A maceration of 20 to 25 days in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats is followed by an ageing in oak barrels for 12 months.
