Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.
Domain and appellation

LES VIGNERONS DE BUZET
The history of the Buzet appellation reflects the undeniable strength of cooperative winemaking. Established in 1953, the cooperative Les Vignerons de Buzet paved the way for its wines by earning AOC status in 1973. Baron d’Ardeuil remains the cooperative’s flagship and most representative wine.
Terroir
The Buzet appellation spans over 2000 hectares and enjoys unique climatic and geological conditions. The vineyards are planted on clay-gravel soils, composed of silty boulbènes and clay-rich terrefort, providing a diversified terroir.
Viticulture
The cooperative follows environmentally responsible practices, embracing sustainable viticulture. All parcels are certified Agri Confiance, and the vines are grassed to encourage biodiversity. The use of chemical fertilisers is strictly prohibited.
Winemaking
The winemaking process follows a classic "Bordeaux-style" technique, with a 15-day maceration at 25°C. The extraction of tannins is carefully managed through daily pump-overs to ensure only the finest tannins are extracted, resulting in a balanced and refined wine.
