Clean nose of spices and cocoa, with hints of mocha and roasted black fruit.

Features

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Domain and appellation

  • CHÂTEAU CROIZET BAGES

    Château Croizet-Bages is located in the Pauillac appellation. The vineyard extends over 30 hectares, situated on one of the most renowned ridges of the appellation, around the hamlet of Bages.

     

    The estate's soil is primarily composed of Garonne gravel and gravelly sands. Château Croizet-Bages is classified as Fifth Grand Cru Classé of 1855. The estate was acquired by Paul Quié in 1942, and is currently managed by his descendants, Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe Quié.

     

    In terms of certifications, Château Croizet-Bages is certified High Environmental Value (HVE).

     

    Alias de Croizet-Bages is the second wine of the château. Made with the same care as its illustrious elder, it is crafted primarily from the young vines of the Château, which are destined in a few years to produce the Grand Vin.
