Features
Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.
Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.
Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.
Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

MOULIN DE GASSAC
MOULIN DE GASSAC was created by the Guibert family in the 1970s. This estate in the Vallée de Gassac has developed under the guidance of the greatest specialists such as Henry Enjalbert and Emile Peynaud. Terroir : The vines of Mas de Daumas Gassac are planted on a soil of red glacial sandstone. This exceptional soil has many qualities: it is deep, well-drained, poor in humus and rich in mineral elements. Vines: Chalky slopes dating from the Jurassic period located between 150 and 300 m altitude for the Syrah; chalky sandstone slopes and Rognacian marl for the Merlot. Rich in bauxite. Vinification: Médoc style, 100% destemming. Slow maceration (15 to 20 days), temperature 28 to 33°C. (the absence of filtration can lead to a slight deposit).
