Powerful bouquet

Ruby colour with bright red highlights. The nose is open and frank, with notes of morello cherry, dark chocolate and nutmeg, a hint of cranberry and young leather. Supple, crisp attack, with notes of morello cherry and humus, a hint of undergrowth, supple tannins. Crisp, tangy finish, hint of sweet spice, medium persistence.

Caractéristiques

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

    Since time immemorial, vines have been grown on the hillsides surrounding the village of Sancerre, on the banks of the Loire. Pinot Noir is used to make original, magnificent red Sancerre wines, full of fruit and flavour. We have taken great care in making this wine from grapes chosen for their ripeness and colour. Vinified and matured with care and attention, they produce this generous, fruity and charming wine.
