Fruity and well-rounded

Brilliant green-gold colour.

Lovely, pleasant open nose with a hint of peat, followed by butterscotch and a hint of fresh menthol and brioche.

Well-balanced, round, supple and unctuous, with a strong character based on fresh notes of peppermint and ginger.

Good length, taut, clean and long.

A lovely product, with precision and finesse.

Features

Body The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Domain and appellation

DISTILLERIE HAKUSHU

The Hakushu Distillery was established half a century after Yamazaki. Keizo Saji, inheriting his father's vision, built this second Suntory distillery in 1973.

Located amidst the deepest forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in the Southern Alps of Japan, Hakushu is undoubtedly one of the highest distilleries in the world.

The majestic forest surrounding the distillery harbors an abundance of plant varieties.
