We do not buy casks directly from rum distilleries. We buy a blend of rum from the British Caribbean and bring it back to Scotland. We then fill our American oak casks with this rum for 6 months.

Domain and appellation

The Balvenie
Founded in 1889 by William Grant, the distillery located in Dufftown in the Speyside region has been owned and ran by the same family since 1892. This independence has allowed it to devote itself exclusively to the production of handcrafted single malts in the traditional way.
- Manufacturing: The double distillation is made in copper stills. This single malt then ages in bourbon tanks, toasted to caramelize the sugar of the wood and to open its pores before a maturing in tanks that already have been served to create a Caribbean rum. The youngest of all the whiskeys used for the assembly of this Balvenie age for 14 years minimum.
