Shiny and colourless. Pretty powerful and fruity nose of white fruits, fresh mentholated notes, resinous notes. Good balance, hint of sweetness, full-bodied, fresh. Straightforward finish .

  • Keeping level Ready to drink

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Tannins ? Coming from stems, grape pips and their storage barrels, the tannin gives structure to red wines only.

Do you know ?

135° East represents the longitude of the town  of Akashi where one can find the Kaikyo Akashi distillery which was chosen in 1888 as the town of reference to determine the exact time in Japan.

Domain and appellation

  • Distillerie Kaikyo

The Yonezawa family, saké brewers since 1856, started as distillers in 1917.

As the 100 year celebration of the production of spirits approaches, the house set up two new Forsyth's stills. This renovation gave the Kaikyo distillery.
