The Hakushu Distillery was founded a half century after Yamazaki. Keizo Saji inherited the vision of his father and, in his quest for innovation, built the second Suntory distillery in 1973. Situated amidst the thick forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in the Southern Alps of Japan, Hakushu is without doubt one of the world's highest distilleries.
