    The Hakushu distillery was founded half a century after Yamazaki. Keizo Saji, inheriting his father's vision, built this second Suntory distillery in 1973 as part of his quest for innovation.

     

    Located amidst the deep forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in the Japanese Southern Alps, Hakushu is undoubtedly one of the highest distilleries in the world.

     

    The majestic forest surrounding the distillery is home to a rich variety of plant species.
