Our oenologists' opinion

Fruity and crisp

Pale sand colour with very pale straw highlights, fairly full bubbles with a persistent string.

Open nose, revealing notes of spices, marzipan and white pepper.

The attack is marked by fairly large bubbles that burst quickly, with a hint of white flowers and minerality.

The finish is crisp and lingering, with notes of white flowers and hazelnut and a hint of minerality.

Features

Body ? The body is the way a wine feels inside the mouth. Several factors, such as the alcohol content and the presence of tannins, contribute to the feel of the wine.

Freshness ? The freshness of a wine is defined by its level of acidity. Unlike rounded wines, fresh wines are easy to drink, and are more lively. Acidity plays a necessary part in a wine's structure.

Aging ? All wines do not have the same aging potential. Some are supposed to be consumed at a young age while others must be kept for longer periods of time.

Do you know ?

The Léonie cuvée pays tribute to the woman who founded this prestigious house in Ludes in 1868. Canard-Duchêne is one of the few houses located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims terroir.
